Our Mission
The American Jewish League for Israel was organized in 1957 by men and women of the highest standing in American Jewish life to support the people and the State of Israel. Their philosophy, which still guides us today, is that as American Jews we need to come together regardless of political, ideological, or religious beliefs, to work for the cause that we all share - support for the State of Israel. It is independent and dedicated to keeping its members informed and involved. The American Jewish League for Israel is not connected to any political party in Israel.
Our support comes in very practical forms. Our lecture/forums feature journalists, Jewish communal leaders, and Israeli Government representatives who keep us up to date on issues that confront us as Jews here in the United States and Israel.
Our unique University Scholarship program awards qualified American students with partial scholarship grants toward a year of study at one of Israel's prestigious Universities, creating deeper understanding and stronger ties between future Diaspora leadership and Israel.
