Since 1957, the American Jewish League
for Israel has supported a progressive, strong, economically viable
State of Israel as a whole. The American Jewish League for
Israel (AJLI) is not connected to any political party in Israel or
the United States. It is independent and dedicated to keeping
its members informed and involved.
How Does the Scholarship Program
Work?An endowment fund has been established where all contributions
are retained and prudently invested. Income is withdrawn and
awarded to qualified students annually as scholarships. As
gifts are added to the Fund, income grows annually. The goal
is to double the number of scholarships granted at regular
intervals.
The Screening Committee will consider
each student's merit regardless of whether or not there is financial
need. Qualified individuals must be accepted for credit at one
of the following Israeli institutions of higher
learning:
Bar-Ilan University
Ben-Gurion
University of the Negev
Haifa University
Hebrew
University
Interdisciplinary
Center
Pardes Institute
Technion
Tel Aviv University
The Weizmann
Institute of Science
A permanent record of Founders of the
Fund will be appropriately recognized and will include the names of
all donors who contribute $1,000 or more. Individuals, groups,
or organizations may contribute to a Founder's or Named Scholarship
in honor or in memory of a friend or family member.
All donations are tax deductible.
